Dying Light developer Techland recently revealed their plans for upcoming free content for Dying Light. As part of Techland’s long-term support program, various new content updates will be released in the coming months in order to give players new experiences to enjoy within Dying Light. The frequently requested Hard Mode will headline the first free update.
According to Tymon Smektała, Dying Light’s producer, “A few gamers have already finished Dying Light and are asking for more. So we’re going to give our community a new challenge that will put everything they learnt in the game to the test. Hard Mode is exactly that. We’re aiming to have it out around the start of March, if not sooner. Depends on how brutal we wanna make this on people.”
Hard Mode will significantly impact the existing gameplay, bringing about changes such as an increased nighttime difficulty level, more dangerous and aggressive enemies, a heavier reliance on stealth, and a higher scarcity of resources and supplies as well as various other tweaks and additions.
The first update will also include various gameplay improvements as well as a number of brand-new character outfits. Techland has also announced future support for modding tools as a part of their plans for Dying Light and has begun the distribution of redeem codes for in-game weapons. The first redeem code can be found within the recently released gameplay trailer.
